We are very centrally but nevertheless very tranquilly situated right at the heart of the Weserbergland! The ideal starting point for your excursions along the German Fairy Tale Route and the Weser Renaissance Route, only ca. 25 km to Hamelin, Holzminden, Höxter, Bad Pyrmont, Einbeck and 50 km to Hannoversch Münden or to Rinteln.

Whether you prefer cycling along one of the most popular cycle routes in Germany, the "Weserfernradweg", or prefer bringing your mountain bike and departing directly from our house on one of the most challenging tours of the mountain bike region in the Solling-Vogler Nature Park, or prefer golfing at the Münchhausen Castle Schwöbber or canoeing on the River Weser or riding on a handcar, the sky's the limit here!

Our region also offers lots of activities for children. At the top of the list is the Summer Toboggan Run in Bodenwerder, the Rastiland in Salzhemmendorf, the Dinosaur Park in Münchehagen, Potts Park in Minden and much, much more.
